This is the personal home page of Rennie deGraaf

Here, you will find the miscellaneous material that I have decided to put on the web. This page is seldom updated, so most of it is probably out of date.

I don't put too much information on this page for the same reason that I don't use Facebook, Linkedin, etc.: I don't like the privacy implications. Google and the NSA already know everything about me of course, but that's no reason to make it easy for everyone else.

I am currently working as a security engineer at iSEC Partners, a computer security consulting firm. Previously, I was a software developer in the Trustworthy Computing group for Microsoft Office. Before that, I was a research associate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary, working for Dr. Rei Safavi-Naini on intrusion detection systems for wireless sensor networks. Prior to that, I was a graduate student at the U of C; my Master's thesis is titled Enhancing Firewalls: Conveying User and Application Identification to Network Firewalls.

My email is rennie-dot-degraaf-at-gmail-dot-com.
