This is the personal home page of Rennie deGraaf
Here, you will find the miscellaneous material that I have decided to put on the web.I am currently working as a software developer at Microsoft, working in the Trustworthy Computing group for Office. Despite (or due to?) this, I enjoy tinkering around with F/OSS software, particularly computer security technologies. I was formerly a research associate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary, working for Dr. Rei Safavi-Naini on intrusion detection systems for wireless sensor networks. Prior to that, I was a graduate student at the U of C; my Master's thesis is titled Enhancing Firewalls: Conveying User and Application Identification to Network Firewalls.
